I found a grungy, beat up shelf at the thrift store. The shelf was in need of some repair but the size was right and it was only five dollars! I removed the ugly spindles, filled in the holes and dents, sanded it to prepare for the paint. Once painted white she was no longer a ugly duckling.
My antique bread boards and some vintage copper were added to take these pictures. Later, that same day everything came down and the shelf was decorated for Christmas.Sorry about the dark pictures. It’s been gloomy and raining here for days.
Great idea! I love the look of breadboards on display in the kitchen. I have some hung on my wall too. The shelf was a great place to display them.
this looks amazing, Sherry!! that shelf was made for that spot! LOVE the breadboards, too!
Your piece just got taller with the addition of that shelf! Love it Sherry! Excited to see your home tour ! I'm joining one too at the 12 days of Christmas Blogger Home tour with Amanda! Hope you can join in on the fun on the 16th of December!
Your shelf is perfect there. Love how you displayed your bread boards.

I love this idea…and love how you decorated it, too!
I love your shelf, what a great bargain! I know what you mean about the weather…It looked like it was going to snow in Orlando today lol! We can't handle a day or two without our sunshine!
