Virtual Garage Sale~Pillows furniture ect

If you have been following my blog then you already know we recently moved to Florida and downsized.  We went from a 4500 square foot home to 2400 square feet, resulting in no room for many of my favorite decorative items.

Our rented storage unit is bursting at the seams so it is time to sell some things.  I wanted to offer these things to my readers before I list them on Craigslist.  I’ll be posting things on my blog occasionally as I pull more from storage.
Leave me a comment on this post if you are interested in purchasing any of these items or if you have any questions.
*These first items below can be shipped and I will calculate the actual shipping based on your zip code.  I can accept cash, checks or bill you through Paypal
Pair red Devine Designs pillow covers from Wayfair.  The 20″ pillow covers are fire engine red, embroidered silk front, polyester back with zipper.  The covers are new and retail for $54 each. I am asking $50 (plus shipping) for the pair.

Set of three blue 16″ pillow covers.  The covers are new, deep ink blue on cream background, cotton and linen with zipper.  $45 set of three (plus shipping)

One New green 18″ pillow filled with polyester. This is a moss green, embroidered coral design with light cream background.  This was a gift and has never been used.  $20 (plus shipping)

Large vintage light red aubusson pillow measures 25″ with fringe and feather filled.  I have owned this pillow for over thirty years and it has been well taken care. In very good condition and asking  $68 (plus shipping)
*The items listed below must be picked up, or arrangements made by you for delivery by an outside company.  Sorry, I cannot pack, crate or deliver these items to the delivery courier.  We live in Leesburg, Florida approximately 45 minutes from Orlando and same distance from Ocala.
Vintage vanity I painted with home made chalk paint.  It has a piece of glass that fits over the wood top,  measures 60×37 and in excellent condition.  Asking $175
SOLD

Antique dress form from early 1800’s.  This is a fabulous piece with a wire skirt and stand.  There is a partial tag attached that says Kolla Perfect 40 with directions how to assemble. Some cloth missing as is normal in the antique dress forms.  Asking $200

Large antique bakery oven paddle measures 13″ across and the entire piece is 85″  long.  Very good condition for antique.  $85
Pair metal twin beds with headboard, footboard and rails.  These were used in a guest room for five years and are in good condition.  There are a couple of scratches on the backside of the headboard where it hit the wall.  You can not see the scratches when the beds are placed against the wall.  Asking $150 each or $280 for both.

Handmade Aubusson rug in very good condition. You may remember seeing it in our former morning room  The colors are red, white and black.  I believe the rug is 12 x 14 but if interested I will pull it from storage and measure again to make sure.  This rug retails for over $4500 new and I am asking $800.

Vintage French style leather chair.  There is no room in hubby’s new office so I am selling for $60.  Fair Condition with several scratches and a small tear in seam

Black and white queen toile comforter, coordinating bed skirt (black stripe), 2 pillow shams and 2 toss pillows.  These were used in our guest room, have never been slept on and very good condition.  Bought from Country Curtains. Asking $90 for set.  I wish I had a better picture but the set is now in storage.  NOTE:  This is a heavy comforter and not a comforter cover.  It could be shipped but would require a very large box and may be expensive to ship.  If interested in shipping leave me your zip code for a quote.  White spread and red pillow not included.

X-large antique painting of cherubs playing musical instruments.  Measures 56×33″ and is signed, though I cannot read the signature.  I purchased the painting a number of years ago at an auction selling items from the famous James River plantation in Virginia.  The auctioneer said the seller was the Plantation and the painting was estimated to be from the 18th century. There is some damage lower right side as seen in the photo but still a gorgeous piece.  $150
SOLD

If these items sale they will make a very small dent in our storage space. I’ll be posting lots more things as I sort through the storage unit so please check back often.
Thanks for dropping by.

  1. Oh how I wish I lived closer. The vanity is the perfect size for my bedroom and the adore the cherub painting. I'm sure shipping to SC would be pretty expensive though. Big SIGH . . .

  2. This will be me soon, maybe! We are just like you, huge house then a downsize to about the same size as you. We have tow storage units…and working to clean out at least one in the next few weeks. I will be watching your goodies, as if I need to buy anything else. ha! Sheila@mykentuckyliving

  3. Is the painting still available Sherry? The colors are perfect for my home and hubby mentioned a "road trip" in passing this morning. It could be a real adventure!

  4. What beautiful pieces, Sherry, that know you hate to part with … someone else will be very fortunate to showcase them in their homes! I'm off to look again!

  5. Patti, The painting is available and I sent you a couple of emails. Sorry you are not getting them. Check your junk folder for an email from baubles. You can email me and leave a phone number . I'll get back to you asap.

  6. Oooh, I love seeing all these pretty things. Unfortunately, we downsized last August and I'm still trying to get rid of extra things. On a personal note, my parents stayed in Leesburg for years in the winter before moving to The Villages. It's a pretty area and I'm sure you will enjoy your new home.

  7. Oh my gosh Sherry…I love that bakers paddle! As a child I lived above a bakery in Altenglan, Germany and remember many mornings going downstairs and watching the baker put bread in his wall oven with a long handled paddle. I live in Nashville. Where do you live?
