Thanksgiving Day

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and survived the turkey coma.
This year we had most of our holiday dinner catered because of my back injury though I did
fix a couple of additional dishes that are my families favorites. It was a very casual Thanksgiving
this year, not a single piece of crystal or silver in sight.
The pool heater wasn’t on but the grand kids still went for a swim before dinner.
Aden didn’t seem to mind the cold water at all but it took Sadie a while to get up the courage
to jump in.

We had a good time with family and the food was really good.
You can see here that Sadie really enjoyed it!   LOL
Her preferred diet consists of only five things and turkey is not one of those.  As you can see
by her plate neither are sweet potato casserole, dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, ect….
.
Steve and I were blessed this holiday to have my dad, our oldest son,  daughter-in-law and two of our precious grandchildren join us.
Happy Holidays to you.
Hugs,
Sherry

  1. Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving! Your dining area looks so pretty in that picture! I can't get over how different the temperature was where you live. It was FREEZING cold in GA. We were all bundled up in coats and hats. Your pool looks nice. I've never been swimming on Thanksgiving.

  2. It looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving…nice to see the kids swimming. Nice to see your dad sitting at the table. My parents are both gone and it's this time of year that I miss them so. Blessings to you.

  3. Looks like you had a lovely Thanksgiving and nothing's better than having family around. My sister and her family went to Savannah this year so we were short quite a few but at least both of my kids and their families were here and we took mama out to eat which she thoroughly enjoyed.

i don't think i could have got in that pool…but i know the kids enjoyed it.

  4. So sorry about your back injury! I hope you feel better soon. Love your pictures … such fun you have the pool now (I know your grandkids love it!)

  5. Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving with us. So glad you had family to visit.

I am glad you are better, Sherry. I have said some prayers for you.
