See Anything Missing?

I am back in Florida and Steve is left with finishing the packing of our home.
We did get a lot done in the last seven days though.
Do you remember all those things I posted about purchasing in the last four
years?  Well, there have been many purchases and below is just a small
 sampling.
It’s always fun to shop and find new things for your home.  I think I rather
over did the shopping though.  You never really know how much you own
until you have to pack it all up.
We will be looking for a new home and we definitely want to downsize.
So what do I do with all this stuff?
Above is how our family room looked last Fall and the picture below is
the same room now.
Thank you Craigslist!
Within three days we sold thousands of dollars in furniture and decorative
accessories.  Gone is most of the furniture in the family room, dining room,
Steve’s office,  media room, my office, outdoor seating and several misc pieces.
I hope you will follow along as we search for a new house and work to make it
our home.

  2. Hi there, Wow I bet some folks felt like they hit the golf mine. I loved your chairs in your family room and would have jumped for a chance at them. You've got such exquisite taste and I'd love to have any item you sold. I can't wait to see your new home(when you get in and settled); are you staying in the same area? We may be moving in the next year-just within several blocks of our home now but I dread packing!
    Good luck!

  9. Thank you for the delightful decorating books and magazines!!!! It pleased me down to my toes to be able to take 4 boxes out of Steve's way and I'll enjoy these treasures for years to come. Here is a public thank-you for Steve's kindness and muscle power in getting the boxes to my car. I am sorry I missed meeting you, tho.

Hope you two find your next home in good time and have lots of fun in the process of furnishing it. I'll be along for the ride!

    Hugs!

  13. Goodness, you certainly had a good clear out!

  14. Oh, I bet you had some nice things for sale on Craigs List. Wish I lived near you to buy some of it. Can't wait to see where you end up. It is smart to downsize though. You will have less upkeep in your older years and move while you're still in good physical health. I know you will have fun setting up a new home.

  15. Oh my gosh…..did you sell your framed sea fans???? If not and if you are selling them……they are SOLD! Just tell me how much!!!! Love them to bits!!!!!!!!
Congratulations on a new and exciting adventure!!!!

  16. Wow Sherry. How exciting to be looking for a new place that you get to decorate all over again. I've bought lots of stuff for our new house, and am selling quite a bit that I don't want to keep. We are just doing backwards from you – bought the new house before selling the old one. Looking forward to seeing your new gorgeous house.

  17. Wow, shopping for a new home is always fun. So happy your home sold and successful selling your furniture. Whew, what a job I know all to well. Happy house hunting, can’t wait to follow along.

  18. Was this your home in Virginia that you were emptying out? OMGosh! I'm in Virginia and would have loved to have Craigs Listed all those wonderful items! How much fun it will be to redecorate from scratch in a new home! Good luck finding just the perfect new place! Hugs, Leena
