Make Your Own Natural Oil Paints And Stains

If you are a regular reader of my blog you know I like experimenting with different paint treatments.  Do you remember the post about Make your own chalk like paint for $4.00? This is the number one viewed post on my blog.  Another very popular post is The Wonder Of Spackle where I showed transforming candlesticks with Spackle.
It seems many of you are interested in making your own paint,  and creating unique items with paint.  If you are one of those creative bloggers you will LOVE Farragoz!  The Art Of Patina is a three month course using ancient paint recipes,  where you will learn how to make wood stain and oil paints from natural products.  You will also learn to make a basic
casein gesso and how to produce decorative moldings and molds. The first project you will make in the course is this beautiful oil on board.  I am working on this Icon now and you won’t believe how easy it is to make with the instructions from Farragoz.

Trust me, you do not need artistic skills for this course but your projects will look very
professional.

I have wanted to make one of these large clocks for quite a while now.  In the three month
course you will make the clock below.

Also, included in the Art Of Patina course are instructions for making this pretty
Trumeau mirror. You will  learn how to reproduce decorative moldings, age mirror
glass and create a flaky paint finish.

There are five great pieces you will make during this course, all with
instructions, material list and on-line support.

I can’t tell you how excited I am to be learning all these new techniques and I’ll
be sure and share my completed projects with you.

I hope you will visit  Farragoz Furniture Painting Course to get more information.

I was given the Farrogoz course to complete and review.  All critiques are my own and
not influenced by any other source.

  1. Sherry how did I miss that post on Spackle? I love what you did to those candlesticks and I have two that I need to do something with. Perfect timing. Thanks for the info on the class too.
