A little Beach Time And Lots Of Seafood

Last week Steve and I took a much needed break and spent a few days on the West coast of Florida. The weather was in the high eighties and perfect for a little beach getaway.

We spent the first day at the Madeira Beach seafood festival at Johns Pass.  There were lots of temporary vendors selling a little bit of everything from jewelry, paintings ,crafts ect.  All the shops were open and as you can see below there was a huge selection of seafood.  I was tempted by the crab cakes but decided on the fried lobster tail instead..Yummy!

The next day we spent time relaxing on the beach and later that day headed over to Clearwater Beach for a late lunch and some sight seeing.

Looking good Honey…..that gym membership is worth every penny!  I have to brag on my husband
for a moment.  He will be 65 years old in a few weeks and he is a 5+ year cancer survivor. After recovering from surgery he set about getting himself in the best shape possible by eating healthy and
working out.  Steve is now taking classes to become a fitness trainer and his goal is to work with people over fifty years old.  Hon,  I am so proud of you!

In case you were wondering…that is not me in the background and NO you will never, ever see a picture of me in a bathing suit. Just saying.

Below are just some random pictures from the beach….enjoy!

Nothing relaxes me more than spending time at the beach.

Thanks for dropping by and please plan on visiting the Thanksgiving Vignettes blog hop starting on

  1. Congratulations to your husband on his fitness & achievement of good health. What a great goal – fitness trainer for the Over-50 crowd!

Wow! The beach looks busy! So happy for you both.

  2. Oh your vacation pictures look so nice. I wish I was there right now! I must say……you have a very handsome husband! Too bad that I don't live near you so I could take his classes. I just turned 50. LOL!

  3. I'm so jealous, living here in the Midwest we're about to hunker down for the beginnings of a cold winter! I'm a beach girl at heart, having grown up near the Jersey shore and spending all our family vacations there. The festivals and food look amazing. And you're husband, well, I'd say he's a keeper!
