Thanksgiving Vignettes Blog Hop Today

Welcome to the Thanksgiving Vignettes Blog Hop!

Thanks for visiting the blog hop and I am so excited to be hosting this event with eleven fabulous bloggers .   I am sure you will inspired by all the creativity!

There will be four bloggers per day sharing their Thanksgiving Vignettes and you will find the schedule at the bottom of this post.

I changed my tablescape so many times to get ready for the hop.  In the end I just deleted a bunch and tried to keep it simple.  That may be because my dad asked "what's all this STUFF doing piled up on the table?"  It was quite a challenge just trying to explain to my 89 year old dad that this STUFF is called a vignette and it is for a blog party.  He's still asking what time everyone is coming to the party!

We'll start the tour with the kitchens eat-in area.

This little transferware pitcher is one of my favorite things.  Someone must have loved it too because they the handle repaired.  Using staples to repair ceramics was common during the 19th century.

The Give Thanks banner is a free printable from The TomKat Studio.

You can't have Thanksgiving without a menu.

Lets move on to the family room.

Of course I had to decorate my new Hod.  You can read more about this find HERE.

I always appreciate your visits here!

Please make sure and visit all the blogs participating in the Thanksgiving Vignettes
blog hop.  A special thank you to the eleven amazing bloggers that helped make my first blog hop a reality.

Sherry, I love your breakfast area and your table vignette is so pretty. That pitcher is amazing and the bone handle knives are gorgeous. Another favorite is that fabulous french shopping cart in the familyroom. Beautiful.

OMGosh I have to laugh at your father's comment Sherry! That would totally be my dad's question as well. Love your transferware pitch and my son is constantly asking me why I don't have a menu posted in the kitchen. I love yours so perhaps I am now a bit more inspired to get one for my kitchen. Your vignettes are all so beautiful, thank you so much for including 21 Rosemary Lane in your blog hop line up!
Have a great day!

A question: How can I enter the party? Do you know, or is it late now.

Hi Sherry, I was tickled pink to be asked and thank you so much. It was because of you that I started collecting the bone handled knives. So fabulous to use at Thanksgiving. Wish we were all having Thanksgiving dinner on the deck again. That was so much fun. Your vignettes are wonderful and your new French piece is to die 4. xoxo

Everything feels so wonderful, Sherry! Your dad cracks me up. When I've worked on some tablescapes recently, my husband has thought there was a bit too much going on too. :) Must be a guy thing. However...those words can help to reign us in. Yours is lovely. My attention was drawn to the bone handled utensils in the pitcher. I have a three...and now I want to do something special with them. And I am so smitten with the staples. I have always tried to figure out how they were able to repair pottery with staples...for sure I'd have broken the handle to bits trying to accomplish a repair with staples. ;)
Now I'm off to see everyone's handiwork! All the best...

Sherry, I had to laugh at the comment about your dad. Your vignettes are charming! The pitcher is a treasure. I think these loved items are the best! Also like your collection of horn handled ware within the pitcher. I've a fondness for them as well.
Thanks for putting the Blog Hop together. I'm off to hop over to the others.

Dear Sherry - I've been looking forward to your Blog Hop I and wasn't disappointed today! Your bone handled knives make me want to start a new collection and I love the pitcher holding them too. Your Johnson Bros. transferware plates are the dishes we had for everyday use when I was growing up so that was fun to see. I have two coffee cups from the set but I am always keeping my eyes open to rebuild a couple of place settings. I also enjoyed visiting the other blogs on the hop. Wonderful inspiration. Thanks for sharing dear Sherry.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
P.S. Your dad is so funny. Gotta love him!

Sherry, LOVE LOVE your transferware pitcher with it's repairs. I agree. someone must have loved it very much. Don't you wish you knew the family who owned it and had it repaired?
I got such a giggle when your dad asked about all the stuff on the table, and what time the party was supposed to be. How wonderful that he's 89 and you still have him to "love on".
