Open House Party

Welcome to the Open House party.
I am glad you are here and thanks to everyone that joined last weeks party!
Enjoy the features from last week.
My weakness is Chocolate...any kind of Chocolate!  How yummy do these Black Forest bars look?
Thanks to Lizbeth at  Just Dip It In Chocolate  for sharing the recipe.
This beautiful room belongs to Shirley @ Housepitality Design.  I love the piece over her mantle and the pretty "pre-spring" vignette.
RETAIL DIY ET made these wonderful outdoor lights from stalks of bamboo she chopped
down.  She painted inexpensive lights from Home Depot to finish the look.
Sarah at  Alderberry Hill shared the cutest Easter chalkboard printable and tags.  I know
there are many, including myself, that like chalkboard art and you are going to love these.
If you were featured this week please grab the party button on the sidebar.
Starting March 18th I will be hosting the Spring Fling Party.  I have some
fabulous bloggers lined up to post their Spring decorating during that week.
You can join the fun by linking to any of the participating blogs and your post
will show up on all five.  Get your Spring decorations out and  ready to share
at the Spring Fling Party.  Hope to see you there!

Extravagaza Antique/Flea Market

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
Last weekend Steve and I went to Mt. Dora for the Extravaganza.  The HUGE antique market is  held three times per year.  Over 1400 dealers set up in the fields and open air pavilions. In  addition, there are over 200 permanent dealers housed in several buildings.  Those dealers are open every weekend.   We spent seven hours at the market, only stopping for a quick lunch.

Steve and I walked, and walked, and walked and we probably only saw about half of the dealers.

You may remember back in November I bought a giant clam shell at the Extravaganza.
No shells came home with me this time (though I did look) but I did get a couple of great
things there.  I have a birthday coming up in a few days and Steve told me to pick out
something I want.

Does my honey know me, or what?

I'll be back to show you what we bought soon.  In the meantime enjoy pictures of the

Here's Steve carrying one of our purchases.

Note to self:  Next time remember you are in Florida and pack sunscreen. Sunburns
are not fun!

Thanks for visiting!

Open House Party

Welcome to the Open House party.

Thanks to everyone for joining last weeks party.   There was a great turnout and so many
wonderful links.  I have chosen just a few to highlight .

How cute is this sign?  Jeanine @ The Concrete Cottage made the sign for her children who
love bacon.

Linda @ Succulent Sisters wrote the sweetest post for Valentines Day.  She married her sweetheart
when he found out he was being sent to Vietnam. She has kept all the love letters from that
year he was away.

Nita at Mod Vintage Life  shared her pretty Valentine decorations.  Love the pink doilies and the
rose patterned china!

Kathleen @ Decor Armore  made this yummy Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse Cups
for Valentine day.

If you were featured this week please feel free to grab my party button in the sidebar.

A Beautiful Home Tour

I have quite a treat for you today!

Carolyn @ Sweet Chaos Home has graciously allowed me to share her gorgeous home with you.

This house was Carolyn's dream home. She would arrive early to pick her kids up at preschool, so she could turn into the neighborhood next door and spend a few moments checking out this house.  She drove by so often that Carolyn was surprised the neighbors didn't call the police.  On one of her drives there was a for sale sign on her dream home and several months later Carolyn and her family were moving in.

Since moving in they have completed many renovations and projects on the 1980's home.

Enjoy the tour and be amazed at the transformation of this beautiful home.

 Newly improved kitchen below

Quite a difference from the BEFORE picture below.

Can you believe the only changes were removing the wallpaper and painting the walls and trim?
Amazing, huh?

Carolyn bought the chairs below off Craigslist for her dining room and had them upholstered in
this pretty blue and white fabric.  I am in Love!
Lovely living room
What a pretty guest room.
The master bath was completely renovated....Gorgeous!
Bathroom before renovation.  Can you believe the beautiful bath above started like this?

I know Carolyn's four boys must love the pool.

Visit  Sweet Chaos Home  to see amazing remodeling projects and to view more of
this beautiful home.
Thank you, Carolyn for sharing your dream  home with us.

A New Hobby?

I hope you are having a great weekend.
Did you notice a new sponsor in my sidebar?  WholePort sells fabric, lace, baking supplies,
jewelry making supplies and much more.  WholePort was kind enough to send
me anything I wanted from their site (within reason of course).
I had been thinking of trying my hand at making jewelry.   I chose natural red coral beads,
jewelry tools and findings.
Pinterest was a great source for me to find instructions for making jewelry.  Actually,  Pinterest
has become the source for just about anything.
Though not perfect,  I am pretty happy with the way the necklaces turned out.
I had enough beads left after making the first necklace to make the one below.

I hope you will visit WholePort for your sewing and crafting supplies. Below are just a
few items they carry.
Natural jade beads
This fabric would be great for a pillow.
They carry unusual soap molds
Pretty rose trim.
Baking supplies
Polymer clay and resin molds.  These would make great
rose swags for furniture appliques.
WholePort carries thousands of items and their prices are extremely reasonable.
Check them next time you are looking for craft items.

This is a sponsored post and I was given the supplies to complete a project.  The comments are my own
and not influenced by the sponsor or the gift.  See disclosure for further info.
